Lavender essential oil is extracted from the flowers of the Lavandula angustifolia plant using steam distillation. Lavender flowers are known for their soothing aroma. Lavender has been used since ancient times by the Romans, Persians, Greeks and Egyptians as an ingredient for aromatherapy in the bath, as well as in the production of perfumes.
The oil is highly concentrated and should not be applied undiluted to the skin.
Like any essential oil, it should be diluted with one of our well-known base oils (almond, coconut, olive, etc.). Two-three drops of the oil are diluted with 50 milliliters of base oil.

When added to a vaporizer or nebulizer, lavender oil is used to treat coughs and respiratory infections. It has strong antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. The oil has a yellow-green color and when stored properly has a strong and rich aroma, slightly different from that of flowers. Lavender oil is used in various cosmetic products, gels, lotions, soaps, baby products and candles. It is also used in the preparation of tea, lemonade, syrups and other aromatic drinks.
How to use lavender essential oil:
The essential oil is intended for external use only.
For hair - put a few drops of lavender oil in the palm of your hand and rub the scalp with your hands;
For inhalation for colds, flu, etc. diseases – drop 4-6 drops of lavender oil in heated water. Inhale for a few minutes, inhaling the lavender fumes. This will help unclog the airways.
For headaches – 1-2 drops of lavender oil are rubbed into the temples with massaging movements to relieve the headache.
In case of sunburn - add 10 drops of lavender oil in 100 ml. cold distilled water. Transfer the resulting mixture to a spray bottle and spray the reddened areas for instant cooling and relief.
Do not take internally. NOT TO BE USED BY PREGNANT WOMEN.
